Niche affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money online today. You cannot just pick affiliate products willy nilly anymore. You have to put a lot of thought and effort into the types of products you will sell, as well as the niche that those products fall under. This is important in all of the activities that you do when you are working toward your goals of financial independence through affiliate marketing.
Of course, the most important and first step in niche affiliate marketing is choosing your niche. A niche is the category or industry under which the products you sell will fall under. The niche should be very specific. For example, an industry may be tile. But your expertise is in tile setting. So perhaps your niche will be do it yourself tile setting.
You can then use that niche to create how to articles and ebooks to increase your credibility, then sell books, tools, and supplies through affiliate programs to follow through on those tasks. Simply choosing the niche of tile would be far too broad, and yield little or no results.
When choosing a niche it is important to look at several key factors. Consider your areas of expertise. What do you know best? There may be more than one area, and that's fine. Brainstorm a list, then try to narrow those items down as specifically as possible. Keep this list for future use.
Once you have your initial list, do some research. You want to know how many people are searching for keywords within your niche, and you want to know how often they are searching. You also want to know how many other marketers are trying to dominate that niche. If possible you want to choose one that is in high demand but is receiving little supply.
