Niche Affiliate Marketing - Step One - Choosing a Profitable Niche

Niche affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money online today. You cannot just pick affiliate products willy nilly anymore. You have to put a lot of thought and effort into the types of products you will sell, as well as the niche that those products fall under. This is important in all of the activities that you do when you are working toward your goals of financial independence through affiliate marketing.

Of course, the most important and first step in niche affiliate marketing is choosing your niche. A niche is the category or industry under which the products you sell will fall under. The niche should be very specific. For example, an industry may be tile. But your expertise is in tile setting. So perhaps your niche will be do it yourself tile setting.

You can then use that niche to create how to articles and ebooks to increase your credibility, then sell books, tools, and supplies through affiliate programs to follow through on those tasks. Simply choosing the niche of tile would be far too broad, and yield little or no results.

When choosing a niche it is important to look at several key factors. Consider your areas of expertise. What do you know best? There may be more than one area, and that's fine. Brainstorm a list, then try to narrow those items down as specifically as possible. Keep this list for future use.

Once you have your initial list, do some research. You want to know how many people are searching for keywords within your niche, and you want to know how often they are searching. You also want to know how many other marketers are trying to dominate that niche. If possible you want to choose one that is in high demand but is receiving little supply.

You're losing out on thousands of subscribers and tons of money if you don't know the easy techniques I use to build a profitable online business. I've written a FREE ebook showing you how to easily make money with article marketing and build a massive list.

Affiliate Marketing Tip - Is Getting High Commission All That Important?

Is getting high commission the ultimate goal of affiliate marketing? Do you use it as the quality benchmark for an affiliate program? Well that's what most marketers do especially new marketers who firmly believe promoting such programs will earn them good income. But there could be more to this than you'll ever know.
Finding Good Products
Many new marketers have difficulty finding the right affiliate products. You always have to spare a thought for the customer who is looking out for good and useful products. So in a nutshell a good product is one that provides the best value for your customers or prospects seeking out solutions to their difficulty.
Is High Commission Good
While providing good value to your customers is important, you should also pay attention to the amount of commission you can make when you make an affiliate sale. Always weigh the cost of promoting this product including the money you have to use to promote it. So to use an example if you spend $20 to get your first affiliate sale which gives you a commission of only $5, you may want to re-think what is wrong or decide not to promote this product.
Knowing which products convert better and which ones are bringing you money is very important for your success.
The Testing Game
Different marketers use different strategies to promote their affiliate marketing products as there is never a best practice to get your affiliate sales. There are people who prefer to promote only low cost products even if the commission is small if there is huge demand for them. There are others who only sell high end products that cost around five hundred dollars each. They rationalize that though harder to sell the commission earned more than makes up for the lower sales volume. But it is essential to always test out the affiliate offers to find out which ones are suitable for you.

Top 5 Things to Look For in an Affiliate Marketing Opportunity

Starting an affiliate marketing business can be overwhelming. If you look on ClickBank alone there are thousands of products that you can choose to promote. There are 5 important things you should consider when choosing a product to promote. These 5 things will help you be an incredibly successful affiliate marketer:
The first thing you should do is look for a product that interests and excites you. If you pick a product you're interested in you will be more excited to promote it. You will have a very hard time writing a review or landing page about a product that bores you.
Find a product with a high conversion rate. The conversion rate is the number of people who click through to the product page who then buy the product. Consider anything with a conversion rate of 3% or more an excellent rate. To find out your product's conversion rate you usually will have to email the support staff of the product, however sometimes they will advertise it on their affiliate page.
Gravity is one of those things that affiliate marketers argue about. It is a formula that tries to give you an idea about how many people are successfully marketing the product. I have learned that products with a high gravity tend to be better products or have better sales pages, therefore are easier to sell. Some have said that high gravity products have too much competition; however I would always choose a product with 200 gravity over a product with 40 gravity.
The support staff for your product should respond quickly. The only way to test them on this is to send them or an email or if possible call them and time how long it takes them to respond. If it takes them more than a couple days, scratch them off your list. They obviously don't care of you sell their product or not. If they don't care about the people selling their product they won't care about the people who buy their product and you don't want to send people to them anyway.
Most importantly look for a product that pays you more than once. Recurring payments are incredibly important to your success as an affiliate marketer. With recurring payments you can grow your business with minimal effort. If you make the same number of sales per month your business is growing instead of staying constant. You also don't have to worry about making all those sales every month since your sales from last month are paying you again this month. Usually this means selling memberships to sites that help others make money or provide new content each month.
So pick the best product for you, pick one that sells well and often, is well supported and pays you over and over. If you follow these five tips you will have a huge head start on other affiliate marketers.

The Truth About the ClickBank Code

You may or not may have heard of the ClickBank Code a newly released product that shows you how to accumulate a good income off of the well known affiliate network.

You may be asking yourself What is ClickBank?

It is an affiliate network that allows someone to promote other peoples products with no start up fees.
Now the truth of the matter is that there are many individuals who are making 5 figures a month With this affiliate network.

The ClickBank Code was created by Michael Jones a well known in the affiliate marketing industry. What Michael has done is create a series of 28 videos with several hours of information that show you how to absolutely dominate with the well known affiliate network. Now he says he has made 48 thousand with the techniques shown in this product. You will not make 48 thousand a month if you are an internet newbie but I think overtime with marketing education you can definitely make that type of income.

What most internet newbies don't understand is how to generate leads. If you reach enough people in the right target market you will make money. Its that simple.

Now I don't like the hype with this product. It is a legitimate product and can help you make a good income but to say you will make 50,000 dollars a month is not a good statement.

There have been reports coming out saying that it is a scam but it is not. Those that deem a scam are ones that don't want to put the work in.

What this product features:

-Shows you how to market with search engine optimization
- Pay per click training
- How to create a lead capture page and build a list
- How to use free marketing such as forum marketing and blogging
- How to absolutely dominate your niche
- How to pick the right product

The system works as I stated it just takes some time to learn the strategies and I do honestly know if you put the work in you will be rewarded.

This program is not for everyone and I do admit learning new strategies can be tough. I came into the industry having a hard time trying to figure out what worked and through trial and error I learned what did and what I didn't. I still am learning everyday and all I can say is if you persevere affiliate marketing can be a great way to amass more freedom. I know my success ultimately comes down to my ability to reach a target audience and market to them. Remember your success will always be determined by you.

Why Join a CPA Network?

A CPA (cost-per-action) network means just what its name suggests. It is an Affiliate Network in which a commission of the sale is paid on the actions performed. These actions not only include sales or revenue sharing as in the case of other Affiliate Networks, but also getting a lead such as e-mail address, credit card number, telephone number or getting an order for the product, a sign-up or a download from the website.
CPA Networks have been very popular as a marketing tool. This is because they are more cost effective and successful methods for advertising as they allow you to pay only when a desired action is performed. This actually helps to eliminate the case wherein you spend more money on advertising than you are earning by selling your products. You, as a merchant would have to pay only when the advertising shoes some results. Thus in simple words, the merchant will pay his affiliate only when the website visitor performs a specific action or acquisition.
CPA methods are believed to be a better alternative to the PPC (pay-per-click) or similar methods as in the CPA networks, the businessperson pays the affiliate webmasters only when they perform a specific action, but in the PPC networks, the affiliate webmasters get paid for every click whether or not the desired action is performed by the visitor. As a result, the merchants using the PPC methods always have a risk to run a business in loss as they have to pay the affiliates for a very little or no results. Thus, CPA in comparison to PPC is a much more reliable and practical method of marketing.
Joining the CPA gives you a helping hand that works as a mediator between the merchant and the customer who makes it clear for the merchant that the marketing efforts of the product are set up for best chances of sale.
Just to understand how profitable the CPA network is, let's just take an example. One of the CPA network requires the user to enter his personal data such as e-mail and his name to collect a free offer and every time someone does so using your link, you get a commission of $5. So if you are able to get 10 of your friends registered to that site, you earn $50 easily. It is really as simple as that to make money through CPA.

How to Get Accepted by CPA Networks?

Getting accepted by most of the Affiliate Networks is an easy job to do as they provide automatic acceptance, but it is not the same with CPA Networks which require some preparation. CPA might arguably be one of the best affiliate marketing methods, but it is to get into a better CPA associative networks. Here's what you need to do to get included in the best CPA Networks.
To start with, search all the CPA networks, short list all those which have a reputation amongst the more successful marketers. Contact the short listed companies and ask them about their offers and rates , and then by comparing all of them, select the more profitable ones.
Then, have a look at their websites and submit your applications there, and be ready for the interview questions asked while you fill-in your application form. Once you have submitted your application, be patient for a week's time to get the reply. In case you do not hear from them for longer than this period of time, try to contact them. This will give them the trust that you are seriously interested in their business.
Next is the most important step of making up a strong marketing plan. A good marketing plan is always very essential. You need to ensure how your work would be beneficial for the future of the company in order to get the deal done. Get some advice from the CPA marketers who have been successful with it, or try some internet sites which would provide you with some help. Be ready to answer questions about your methodology, experience, your field of work etc. A good conversation with the company is the most important key towards success in Affiliate Marketing. You have to assure them that you know all the techniques about marketing the CPA offers.
Once you make them realize that you are decent enough to get some good results for their company by publishing their products successfully, there is no practical of not getting accepted by them.

Learn How to Make Money Online With Affiliate Marketing - Top Programs For Beginners

Judging from experience, it can be terribly frustrating in the world of affiliate marketing. Even the pros suffer from stressful symptoms. Just imagine how it is for the beginner! I've gathered a lot of knowledge that I would like to share with everybody that will hopefully boost your confidence and keep you on the path towards achieving some financial freedom. This article is dedicated to YOU the beginner.
THE ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN ONE DAY APPROACH!
When I first started affiliate marketing, I thought I could figure out everything on my own. Some things came easy but most things were hard to find out. The truth is, affiliate marketing requires gathering tons of information and knowledge about multiple strategies and then testing them to see what works. Sometimes it can be very difficult to take everything in at once. This is when you have to step back and take the "Rome wasn't built in a day" approach. The thing that gets people in trouble with affiliate marketing is that most people are too anxious (Including Myself) at the beginning stages and expect to make tons of money a day or two after launching their first campaign promoting a product that fits their business without even knowing what they are selling. Imagine not knowing how to swim and jumping into rough waters. This is exactly how it's like because not only will you get pulled in different directions, you will also get into serious trouble. Bottom line is, affiliate marketing can bring you a fortune. It won't happen overnight but if you suck it up and grind it out you will eventually achieve your goal!
PPC (Pay Per Click) ADVERTISING: THE ROUGH WATER YOU SHOULD AVOID
Please, if you are going to take anything that I say serious then it's this. Stay away from PPC until you have made some money using other free methods of advertising and gained some knowledge. Don't get me wrong, programs and sites like Google Adwords are great tools, but they are tools used best by people and marketers who can afford to drop hundreds of dollars. Plenty of people think they can throw $50.00 or $100.00 dollars into PPC marketing like a slot machine and multiply their money. WRONG! Wouldn't it absolutely stink if you dropped $300.00 dollars advertising to only convert just a few sales or referrals that wouldn't even cover the charges? Been there and done that, so please take my word for it. Treat PPC like the rough waters because they can put you in a huge hole faster than you can imagine. When you have the resources and proper knowledge there's nothing more powerful than PPC advertising, but for now leave it to the pro's rookie! You will have your time in the future!
THE PROPER APPROACH: PROPER LEADS TO PROSPER
Ok, So what should you be doing? Free article publishing sites like Ezine Articles and Squidoo are a great way to start your marketing campaigns. Writing a few articles here and there can lead you to a fortune down the road. Join some forums that deal with your product and try to market there. Write blogs about your products or programs and please be honest. Never try to promote or sell anything you know nothing about! Don't spam forums or article sites either with over flowing ads. You want to personally advise people on what works and what doesn't. When you earn the customer's or reader's trust, they will also trust your product. If you don't care about anything but sales, people will pick up on it and you will be heading down the path to no where. Relate to your customers with your own experiences and most importantly, help them when they ask for it!
THE BEST RESOURCES THAT I USED TO MAKE MONEY
You should never have to pay a dime to become an affiliate. If you have the money to spend, there is a program that is a fantastic resource for all the knowledge you need. This program will also start earning you some excellent commissions until you have learned everything there is to know and are ready to go on your own. The program also guarantees you will make $125.00 within your first couple of weeks and requires a very little investment that will be earned back almost immediately. I have earned my guaranteed money and way more with this fantastic program.
Remember, PATIENCE and KNOWLEDGE will lead you to success! Good luck!

Cost Per Action Marketing is As Easy As 1-2-3

Affiliate Marketing can be extremely difficult to pick up the first time around. Despite this fact, there is a way to promote "Cost Per Action" offers that are as easy as 1 2 3. Although this may sound a bit far-fetched it is completely legit because expert gurus have made extreme amounts of money with it for a long time. The secret method they use is known as "Media Buys." Media Buys is a term that has been existent for ages. The definition of this term is the process of purchasing advertising in all sorts of media, ranging from print sources to television and radio broadcasting. Even though these forms of media advertising are great to use, they are out of date. In other words it is a thing of the past. The hottest trend in today's advertising society is the internet. It is simple, easy and affordable for marketers without large sums of money to spend.
Basically, "media buys" involves the buying places on online to advertise on. Some of these places online can cost a bit more due to its amount of fame and traffic, as well as the size of the advertisement and the time in which the ad is to be placed for display. The amount of money in which you have to pay for the ads is calculated using "CPM" or Cost Per Thousand Impressions. This means that you do not have to pay every time your ad is clicked on, like PPC does. Using "CPM" you only pay a set rate when someone is to see your advertisement. You can get a good deal with CPM if the rates are low. In the past many advertisers would pay agencies that dedicated their time to creating unique advertisements for them. Now in days, those who are affiliated with companies that have affiliate programs are given already-made ads ranging in sizes at no cost to the affiliate.
Since you are an affiliate this makes your job way easier. The only task you have to complete is to promote affiliate and Cost Per Action Offers by basically cutting and pasting a small code. You do not have much work that pertains to the advertising step, which leaves you headache-free rather than using your brain to design your own ads. Certainly, similarly to all kinds of promotion offers, you will be confronted with a bit of hardships that will mess with your probability of you succeeding. It is easier for you if you learn from an expert that has already surpassed the steps that you will be taking part in and succeeded, rather than doing this on your own and winging it.

Make Real Money Online As a Pro Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online. Some affiliate marketers are making million-dollar incomes. If you're serious about your new career, here are four tips which will help.
1. Buy a Product You Want to Promote
Your first step is to get hold of a product which you want to promote. If the product is an information product, read it or watch it. Learn as much about the product as you can.
2. Realize That It Will Take More Than a Banner Ad to Sell It
Next, brainstorm ways in which you can sell this product. Your first step should be to write a review of it. If the product is highly popular, chances are that your review won't go far. You need to make it a no-brainer for people to buy the product through your link.
This means that you need to give people an incentive. Your incentive it may be something you create which will be a useful add-on to the product, or which expands on the product, making it easier to use.
3. Invest in a Domain Name for the Product
If you like a product enough to promote it, invest in a domain name for that particular product. The domain name is useful because you can send buyers directly to the product from your own domain name. This solves the problem of affiliate links, which tend to be ugly and which make potential buyers suspicious.
An added benefit is that when you promote using your own domain, you make it harder for others to steal your sales.
4. Invest in PPC Marketing to Find the Best Products to Promote
Not every product which you start to promote will make money for you. In fact you may need to go through five or six products before you find a product which is profitable for you.
This means that you can waste a lot of time in writing reviews and creating incentives for products which just won't make money for you. You can shortcut the process of finding good products by investing in some PPC marketing for products you're considering.

How to Use the Forums For Traffic

The amount of traffic that you can get from forums can vary greatly. Some busy forums will be well worth the effort. Always look for those that have a high turnover of comments. If nobody has left a post for several weeks then ignore it. You will just be talking to thin air (some would say a bit like being married.)
It should go without saying that you need to find a forum that covers your niche. Hardley worth going on a betting forum when your site is about curry recipes, although I am sure that some gamblers do like a curry, but you get the point.
Another really important point is not to just wade in and pimp your site. You will be ignored at best and the worst case scenario is that you will be seen as a spammer and get banned from the forum.
The best course of action I find is to get a feel for the site before you post, have a read of the favourite topics. Then when your ready join in with helpful comments. Eventually you become a trusted member of that community and people will naturally be curious about what you do and check you out.
Never overlook a well used forum for advice, we are all learning as our businesses evolve and I have made some really useful contacts in this way. So remember a forum in your particular niche will be full of valuable information.
Some search engines index highly active forums. So it is possible to get a trickle of traffic this way too.
I think the most important thing I have learned is to be yourself, other words don't try to sound like a guru if your not. I think people see through this pretty quickly and all you do is lose trust. Talk about the things you do know about and when you learn about new topics pass that on. You can easily establish yourself as an expert in your own field in this way. I do have success in this way with traffic so it does work.
If anyone has any other ideas on how they use forums I would love to hear them.

Expired Domain Names - How Can You Get Them?

The domainer in you must have wondered at some time as to how exactly can an expiring domain name become available for re-registration by a new owner. To know the answer to this question, you must understand the Status of a domain as listed in the whois database. Here is the URL of the whois lookup provided by Domain Tools. When observing the results of a whois lookup, you will see a record similar in format to the one below:
ICANN Registrar: MARKMONITOR INC.Created: 1997-09-15 Expires: 2011-09-14 Registrar Status: clientDeleteProhibited Registrar Status: clientTransferProhibited Registrar Status: clientUpdateProhibited Name Server: NS1.GOOGLE.COM Name Server: NS2.GOOGLE.COM Name Server: NS3.GOOGLE.COM Name Server: NS4.GOOGLE.COM Whois Server: whois.markmonitor.com
There is a line item in the lookup data labeled Status. In the case of this domain, the status are listed as clientDeleteProhibited, clientTransferProhibited and clientUpdateProhibited Listed below are the various states that can appear in this field, and what they mean (There are two standard protocols, RRP and EPP - RRP is the older protocol that is being phased out in favor of EPP which is more fine grained. There is a specific mapping of statuses between the older RRP and EPP).
Below are the all RRP statuses, followed by EPP statuses.
Registry Operator Status codes: (RRP) Registry Registrar Protocol (Com/Net Registry Operator - Verisign Global Registry)
ACTIVE: The registry sets this status. The domain can be modified by the registrar. The domain can be renewed. The domain will be included in the zone if the domain has been delegated to at least one name server. A domain can only change registrars if in this state.
· REGISTRY-LOCK: The registry sets this status. The domain can not be modified or deleted by the registrar. The registry must remove the REGISTRY-LOCK status for the registrar to modify the domain. The domain can be renewed. The domain will be included in the zone if the domain has been delegated to at least one name server.
· REGISTRAR-LOCK: The sponsoring registrar sets this status. The domain can not be modified or deleted. The registrar must remove REGISTRAR-LOCK status to modify the domain. The domain can be renewed. The domain will be included in the zone.
· REGISTRY-HOLD: The registry sets this status. The domain can not be modified or deleted by the registrar. The registry must remove the REGISTRY-HOLD status for the registrar to modify the domain. The domain can be renewed. The domain will not be included in the zone.
· REGISTRAR-HOLD: The sponsoring registrar sets this status. The domain can not be modified or deleted. The registrar must remove REGISTRAR-HOLD status to modify the domain. The domain can be renewed. The domain will not be included in the zone.
· REDEMPTIONPERIOD: The registry sets this status when a registrar requests that the domain name be deleted from the registry and the domain has been registered for more than 5 calendar days (if the delete request is received within 5 days of initial domain registration it will instead be deleted immediately). The domain will not be included in the zone. The domain can not be modified or purged; it can only be restored. Any other registrar requests to modify or otherwise update the domain will be rejected. The domain will be held in this status for a maximum of 30 calendar days.
· PENDINGRESTORE: The registry sets this status after a registrar requests restoration of a domain that is in REDEMPTIONPERIOD status. The domain will be included in the zone. Registrar requests to modify or otherwise update the domain will be rejected. The domain will be held in this status while the registry waits for the registrar to provide required restoration documentation. If the registrar fails to provide documentation to the registry within 7 calendar days to confirm the restoration request, the domain will revert to REDEMPTIONPERIOD status. The domain status will be set to ACTIVE only if the registrar provides documentation to the registry within 7 calendar days to confirm the restoration request.
· PENDINGDELETE: The registry sets this status after a domain has been set in REDEMPTIONPERIOD status and the domain has not been restored by the registrar. The domain will not be included in the zone. Once in this status all registrar requests to modify or otherwise update the domain will be rejected. The domain will be purged from the registry database after being in this status for 5 calendar days.
EPP Domains (The newer better protocol)
Domain Status: Normally operating domains have a status of "OK" or "Active." Other status values detail pending operations and restrictions regarding the domain. If the status is OK then the domain can be transferred.
· OK: This is the nominal status value for a domain object at all times, whether or not the domain has pending operations or prohibitions.
· New: This is the nominal status for a newly created domain object. The domain can be modified unless locked.
· Active: The domain can be modified and appears in a zone file. This is the nominal status for a domain object once it has been published in a zone.
· Locked: The domain cannot be transferred, renewed, or deleted. (Though the status value can be changed.) Hierarchical and associated objects cannot be added or removed from the domain object. Domain names involved in Sunrise and other disputes may be locked, subject to registry policies.
· Hold: The domain will not be published in a zone for DNS resolution. Names without at least two nameservers may be placed on Hold status; in this case submit nameserver data through your registrar.
· pendingTransfer: A transfer request has been received for the domain, and completion of the request is pending. The domain cannot be renewed, deleted, or updated while in this state.
· pendingDelete: A delete request has been received from the registrar for the domain. The domain has been removed from the zone, but has not yet been purged from the registry database. The domain cannot be renewed, deleted, transferred, or updated while in this state.
· clientHold: The domain will not be published in a zone for DNS resolution. This status is placed on the domain by the registrar.
· clientLock: The domain cannot be transferred, renewed, deleted, or updated. This status is placed on the domain by the registrar. An update command may be used to change the status value. Hierarchical and associated objects cannot not be added or removed from the domain object.
So, for those of you interested in registering previously registered - but now expiring domains: the domain will always go into REDEMPTIONPERIOD status before it is released to be re-registered.
It will remain in REDEMPTIONPERIOD status for 30 days at which time it will then move to PENDINGDELETE status. After 5 days in PENDINGDELETE status, the domain will be released to be re-registered.
If a domain is renewed by the original registrant during the REDEMPTIONPERIOD status, the domain will NOT go to PENDINGDELETE status. Once a domain reaches to PENDINGDELETE status, it will become available to re-register.
Hope this helps
